Mardi Gras

In the joy of celebrating Phil and Groundhog Day, Mardi Gras totally slipped my mind. It seems it's different from when I lived there. The parades are spread out over January and February, and there are many more krewes. I know one thing that hasn't changed, though. If you want to take the kids, stay away from Bourbon Street. Things can get pretty naked there.

I loved the movie, and I love the day!! Is there another holiday dedicated to an animal??? I'm not sure, but if there is, this one remains the most famous. He did see his shadow today, so that means six more weeks of winter. I wonder if he knows the world has noticed that's when Spring starts anyway. Hopefully, not!
