In the joy of celebrating Phil and Groundhog Day, Mardi Gras totally slipped my mind. It seems it's different from when I lived there. The parades are spread out over January and February, and there are many more krewes. I know one thing that hasn't changed, though. If you want to take the kids, stay away from Bourbon Street. Things can get pretty naked there.
